Cooler Master launches the Cosmos II Ultra chassis in India

Cooler Master has finally unveiled the Cosmo II Ultra chassis in India, which is a long awaited sequel to the Cosmos. Winner of the Red Dot Design 2012 award, the Cosmos II Ultra is carved out of high-grade aluminium lending it an artistic and elegant form factor. The structure is reinforced with steel for better endurance and the optimally placed air vents enhances air flow inside the chassis. The cabinet is priced at Rs.19,999, but you should be able to find it for less on the street.

The Cosmos II is one of the few chassis that support XL-ATX motherboard form factor. At stock, this tower supports a 240mm radiator near the top. And one more 240mm radiator can be added by simply removing the bottom hard drive near the front. If AIO (all-in-one) water coolers are your game, then there is enough space to mount them on the rear exhaust port. It’s 20 percent larger than its predecessor, meaning oodles of space for everything. It can accommodate 13 hard drives easily without any problems. There are two X-Dock and a separate cooled section that harbours six HDDs. You get 10 expansion slots for 4-way SLI/CrossFire setups and one additional slot that takes care of CCFL lighting controls or other PCI extensions. And to top it off, there’s a unique fan controller, which allows on-the-fly changes to fan speed and LED lights at the press of a button.

The entire cable management process is simplified by intuitive placement of cut-outs, tool-free mounting, sliding trays and easy to use thumb screws. A large CPU retention hole is present in the tray and supports easy installation of CPU coolers (compatible with LGA2011 & AMD FM1). And to keep dust at bay, the Cosmos II has snap on, easy-to-use dust filters that simplify the whole maintenance process.

Below are the full specifications of the chassis.
