HTC rolls out update for One X, brings battery improvements

HTC’s One X may be a powerful phone but many early adopters complained about poor battery life. Some other users also complained about a screen glitch issue. HTC seems to have acknowledged this problem as they’ve now rolled out an update for the One X that upgrades the build from 1.26 or 1.27 to 1.28. The new ROM brings with it speed improvements and better battery life. However, the power control app issue that was discovered by XDA forum members is not yet solved. The reason for the poor battery life was an app called NVCPLSvc.apk which was placed in the wrong folder by mistake which was the primary reason the battery used to drain. The developers released a redesigned app that improved the batter life by 20 per cent.

Armed with Android 4.0, a large IPS display, 8MP shooter and 32GB of onboard memory, it seems like a formidable opponent.  The One X is officially the fastest mobile phone, currently in the market with its quad-core Tegra 3 processor. To make the phones more appealing, HTC will also be adding some cool features at launch, like Image Sense and 25GB of storage space in Dropbox. The One X features a massive 4.7-inch screen with a 720p resolution and will be running Ice Cream Sandwich, along with Sense 4.0 over the top.
